Tips on Cleaning F. work Dress...... Please help.

I have already washed it but the cap doesn't seem to be white or the ruffles on the dress either. I think it is yellowed from age. any ideas?

Twin Pines of Maine has an amazing product called Perk. It is expensive, but concentrated and you can save the washing solution to use over and over again. It is used by doll restorers, check out examples on their website. I use it frequently and have had very good luck getting the yellow out of old whites with it. As a bonus, it is safe to use on almost all fabrics and does not remove the original sizing so fabrics stay looking and feeling like new. Oxyclean is worth trying if you can't get your hands on any Perk.

It's not suppossed to be white. The cap and sleeves match the apron and scarf which are all a muslin color.
